CSUB 101: Roadrunner First-Year Experience Seminar is a course that will help you make the transition to CSUB by introducing you to important issues for academic success and personal achievement. In this class you will learn about such things as: time management, effective and efficient learning techniques, proactive reading and listening strategies, effective note taking methods, useful communication habits, and valuable exam preparation and essay writing tips. As a student in this class you will also have the opportunity to explore healthy living choices, personal growth options, and the different majors and careers that are available to you. You will also spend some time examining effective strategies and techniques for working together with your classmates and will have a chance to explore the various ways that you can become more involved, both on campus and in the wider community.
