This course studies the principles of digital integrated circuit analysis and design knowledge. The class provides an overview of computer operation and an opportunity to develop the good hardware design skills that are popular in digital IC design industry and(or) research. In this course, students will study basic logic gates, combinational logic and sequential logic design as well as logic design with CMOS transistors. Both logic design and hardware development are emphasized. Students are expected to complete hand designs that are verified by computer simulation using SPICE or other hardware/software tools.
